Vantage Theme Options
Vantage is a business directory theme by AppThemes. It uses the Settings API to render the options screen and controls, as well as a good use of sections. The main reason I wanted to showcase this page here, is the horizontal tabs navigation, which is also native to WordPress.
Scribu tipped this in a previous post (thanks!) and you’ll be surprised how easy it is to adapt, if you’re using the other (larger) tabs already. Just change h2 to h3 for your nav-tab-wrapper :)
Certainly fits nicely into the WP ecosystem (seeing as it uses default styling ;) )
I didn’t like the native tab solution because they were big! And I never thought of changing the markup to fix that.

I thought that too but eventually just got used to it, so I don’t see anything wrong with it today. Anyway these little tabs nav is definitely another option theme developers can adapt, and it looks like it’s future-proof too! Thanks for your comment Hassan :)
